OVERVIEW

This Refund Policy explains your rights regarding returns, cancellations, and refunds when you purchase from MaddyParts. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Shipping Policy.

As a consumer within the European Union, you have certain statutory rights, including a 14-day right of withdrawal. This policy explains how that works in practice, along with our approach to common situations like incorrect orders and defective products.

YOUR RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (14 DAYS)

If you are a consumer residing in the EU, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your product, without giving any reason.

To exercise this right, contact us at maddyparts@lucashulsmedia.nl before the withdrawal period expires, stating your order number and that you wish to withdraw from your purchase.

Condition of returned goods: Products must be returned unused, in their original packaging where possible, and in the same condition as received. If a product has been installed in a vehicle, this does not automatically void your right of withdrawal, but any reduction in value resulting from use beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and functioning of the product may be deducted from your refund, in line with Dutch and EU consumer law.

Return shipping costs: Unless the product is defective or not as described, you are responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.

HOW REFUNDS ARE PROCESSED

In many cases, particularly for low-cost items, we may choose to issue a refund without requiring you to physically return the product, where the cost or environmental impact of return shipping would be disproportionate to the value of the item. If this applies to your order, we will let you know directly and you will not need to send anything back.

Where a physical return is required, once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the outcome. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 14 days. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have provided proof of return shipment, whichever is earlier.

Please note that depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take a few additional days for the refunded amount to appear in your account.

ORDERED THE WRONG VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY

Many of our products are designed for specific vehicle makes, models, and production years. If you ordered a product that is not compatible with your vehicle:

  • If you have not yet installed the product, contact us within 14 days of receiving it and we will treat this as a standard withdrawal under the section above.
  • If the compatibility information on our product page was inaccurate, please contact us, as this is treated differently from a customer ordering error and may not require you to cover return shipping costs.

We strongly recommend double-checking the compatibility list on the product page against your vehicle's exact model, generation, and build year before ordering, to avoid this situation.

DEFECTIVE OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If you receive a product that is defective, damaged in transit, or different from what you ordered, please contact us at maddyparts@lucashulsmedia.nl within 14 days of receiving it, including photos of the issue where possible. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no additional cost to you, in line with your statutory warranty rights as an EU consumer.

LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS

If you haven't received a refund yet within the timeframe stated above, first check your bank account again, then contact your credit card company or bank, as it may take some time before a refund is officially posted. If you've done this and still have not received your refund, please contact us at maddyparts@lucashulsmedia.nl.

EXCHANGES

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different product (for example, the correct vehicle-compatible variant), please request a refund or withdrawal as outlined above, and place a new order for the correct item.

CANCELLATIONS

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible. We may be unable to cancel an order once it has already been forwarded to our supplier for fulfilment, in which case you may instead exercise your right of withdrawal once you receive the product.
